Pre-Need Contract Cancellations
California Law and Your Rights
Pre-need funeral contracts in California are governed by the California Health & Safety Code and the California Insurance Code. You have the right to cancel your pre-need contract within 30 days of signing for a full refund.
How to Cancel Your Pre-Need Contract
To cancel your contract within the 30-day period, you must submit a written notice of cancellation to our office. The notice can be mailed or delivered in person.
Consultation Cancellation Policy
24-Hour Cancellation Notice
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled consultation. This allows us to offer the time slot to another family.

Refund Eligibility
Pre-Need Plan Refunds
Refunds for pre-need plans cancelled after the initial 30-day period are subject to the terms outlined in your specific contract and applicable California state laws regarding trust funds or insurance policies.
Non-Refundable Items
Certain customized merchandise or services that have already been rendered or procured specifically for you may be non-refundable, as detailed in your agreement.
How to Request a Refund
- Review your original pre-need contract terms.
- Submit a written request for cancellation and refund to our office.
- Allow up to 15 business days for processing after the request is received.
